I am so looking forward to child-free zones!

A few weeks back I heard a discussion on some restaurants in Delhi coming up with the idea of being child-free zones. There were a lot of people who didn't like the idea. Me thinks - Its great!!!

I have a few friends/relatives who have kids in the age group of 5-9 years and taking them out for dinner/lunch/shopping becomes an ordeal in itself. I for one am not very good with having patience when kids throw tantrums or yelling and squealing. We need to respect the other person's privacy and peace and teach our kids the same. There are kids jumping on sofas and chairs, running around playing hide and seek. In letting their kids enjoy their childhood parents forget that there are others there who might want to enjoy their evening out.

I think having the option to choose between child-free restaurants and ones that allow children would be a great idea. Freedom to choose! I love this country!
