With our entire world, life and presence becoming more online than in-person, how much do you think one can share over the internet? While I have a domain registered under my name that has a link redirecting to this blog, how much of a peek am I allowing someone into my personal life?
Yesterday, my firm had a technology roadshow where they showcased new technologies being used within the firm in various client projects. One of the most active and aggressive industries these days is the advertising industry. With Amazon tracking my search results and catalogue viewing and storing and processing this data, how much of my privacy has been breached?
Or if it has been breached at all? Who draws that line and says no entry beyond this point?
Aren't we as a country very intrusive? We want to know who the neighbour's son was with at the local market last evening. We want to know when that distant-relative's daughter is getting married? If she is over the 'marriageable' age why isn't she married yet? If we think all this is normal, would we be bothered by big firms monitoring our online crawling.
I have never made this blog public. It might be free to access but it isn't searchable nor have I shared this on other social platforms with people. I have been wondering if I should make this a public blog? Would it restrict me from writing about a few things and people? Would I be sharing too much of my personal life and thoughts with people.
I have lot more posts pending and in draft stage -so I'll work on those while I mull over these points....
who knows maybe I'll have the courage to share the link with people soon.
