Street Clothes & Food at GK
I went to GK M-block market last night and I must say it was some experience. GK market has some great eating joints, great shops, street shopping is also good. More than anything else its the crowd that frequents that market. You see hep and happening good looking well-dressed and attired people. GK market shows you the face and style of the youth of today.
There is a chaat shop at GK called Mahesh chat wala and next to it is the famous Prince paan wala. Both of them do amazing things to your taste buds. Okay, so the golgappas werent so good. The paani had a lot of "tartari" and the golgappas were soggy. I had sev puri which was finger licking yummy and A enjoyed his chola kulcha quite a lot.
We followed this up with paranthas at Not Just Paranthas at GK market. This place features in the Times of India food guide and does justice to its popularity. The service is fast and the food is tasty, decently priced and nicely located, has old hindi hip-hop tunes playing. It is a good place to enjoy an evening. A unique thing about this place is that they dont give forks and knives and encourage you to use your hands - eat the desi way!
